Full Moon in Taurus. Energy Vessel. November 12th.

It is an opportunity to receive insights and experience new realizations, especially with the Sun in Scorpio, with its desire to transform into the higher place of power. Through this process we can gain a new awareness working with energies and grounding them.

Moon magic manifests itself in our lives through the cycles of New Moons and Full Moons. What we desire and how we send those energetic wishes into the SheUniverse during the New Moon – when La Luna begins her journey around the Zodiac – comes to fruition on the Full Moon in the same sign. So open up your Moon Journals and bring back the memories of the New Moon in Taurus from May 4th to check in with the cosmic forces! And incidentally that was also the first astral manifesto at CREATRIX magazine! Powerful feminine energies were at play back then and with them we gained the momentum to create and share what we love and believe in.

This Full Moon in Taurus occurs on November 12th at 8:33 AM in New York (check your time zone accordingly). The Sun at 19 degrees and 51 minutes of Scorpio conjuncts Mercury and opposes the Moon in Taurus conjuncting Vesta, the archetype of focused energy and divine feminine sexual power.

Full moons symbolize a peak of energies, and occurs when the Sun (the ego) opposes the Moon (the soul). This one occurs with the Sun in Scorpio, just as the veil is said to be the thinnest between the worlds of the living and the dead. The duality expresses itself through all the themes of Scorpio: heaven and hell, grace and karma, wisdom and struggle, illumination and obsession, free flowing and intensity, transformation and tribulation.
Through external pressures, antagonistic energies bring up inner conflicts to the surface, and tensions are mostly felt on a personal level. It is an opportunity to receive insights and experience new realizations, especially with the Sun in Scorpio, with its desire to transform into the higher place of power. Through this process we can gain a new awareness working with energies and grounding them. So check in which house the sign of Scorpio lies in our chart, as this area of life undergoes transformations.

Things are manifesting, changing and shifting, bringing new commitments and a new sense of power. Intuitive Scorpio follows her gut feeling, always focused on what feels right. Find that feeling within your body transcendenting the Mercurial mind…

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio has been reworking and rethinking deeply rooted emotional blocks and fears that hold us back. We are reminded of the need to care for our emotional bodies. Water signs tend to merge psychically and emotionally with others and the environment. Because their biggest challenge are boundaries this is the right time to ask: “Do I keep giving without receiving?” These type of imbalances create resentment and loss of vital energy. “Is there anything left for me?” If not, how I can change to preserve my resources, space, energy, money, and possessions. Mercury conjuncts Sun at 18 degrees of Scorpio on 11/11 and on the Full Moon also connecting through a sextile to Pluto and Saturn and trine to Neptune. Things need to be reconsidered; we will be able to see the full picture once Mercury returns to its forward motion.

The feminine energy prominent during the Full Moon is Vesta, Goddess of the hearth around which community gathers, and the focal point for all. With the Moon conjunct Vesta in Taurus we are regaining the wisdom and power through the body, and connection with the physical touch. Like the Vestal priestesses tended to the fire in their temples, yogis see their bodies as temples where the sacred flame of kundalini rises. Burn out what does not serve you and burn bright with all that is left. Focus on the best ways to support your animal body and abandon outdated habits. This is the right moment to embark on your vegan ascension into long life in peace with all living things.

Vesta also helps us sublimate life-force energies into work, dedicating oneself entirely to the cause. Devotion to a purpose or to a person is the central theme here, which is also connected to the experience of holding space for the healing of others. Vesta brings the energies together creating a vessel ‘where the flame can burn brightly’. She brings awareness back to the body and out of the mind, replicating the Scorpio themes through the deep connection with our instinctual self.

This Full Moon, with all its intensity of Scorpio, is actually filled with positive empowering aspects. Moon creates a trine to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, and also sextile to Neptune in Pisces. With all the outer planets aspecting the luminary, we experience a shift of energies – affirmative meaningful changes are taking place, and our goal is to harness the force of the stars and use their gifts wisely.
